McMillan Custom Marathon Plan: Week 4 Day 5

Week 4, Day 5
Phase: Pre-Marathon
Workout: 30 to 40 minute easy run
No problems tonight with my well deserved easy 30 minute run. Legs were a bit stiff from yesterday’s challenging workout, but that was to be expected. Actually I didn’t feel as bad as I thought I would.Stats:
4.15 miles in just over 31 minutes.
Average heart rate – 136bpm.
Mile splits – 7:39 7:24 7:22 7:22

If you’re wondering where the stats came from (don’t worry, I know you probably weren’t), I broke down and picked up a Garmin 405 today. Initial impressions are excellent – easy to set up, size and weight almost perfect, easy to use and best of all no messy wires to connect to the computer.
