Runervals 6.0 Time Saver I Cruise & Tempo Training
A little bit pushed for time tonight, so I dusted off one of my least used Runervals DVDs and performed a nice short cruise/tempo run.
This 30 minute “Time Saver” workout consists of a 5 minute warm up, followed by 4 x 4 minute efforts at 10k pace and 5k pace with one minute recovery between each tempo interval. I didn’t perform the 4 minute efforts at maximum speed, but it was enough to elevate my heart rate and get my legs moving along at a good clip.
It turned out to be a refreshing 30 minute workout and to be honest the time flew by. Also on the DVD are 2 other workouts – 10k Tempo Intervals and 5k Cruise Intervals – both of which are only 30 minutes long and ideal when you’re pushed for time.
