I laughed at the design but don’t think it suits my 110% positive personality and commitment to a speedy recovery.
Other favorites include the Bird Poop t-shirt, Swimming with Sharks t-shirt, Van Smokin t-shirt and Mountain Bike Overpass t-shirt. Fun stuff…

Good luck at the doctor’s Blaine and thanks again for the very cool card! I laughed out loud when I saw the pic!
Hey, sorry to hear about the foot. So how do you think it happened? Just over training / too many races ?? You still happy with the Newtons?
Hey Bruce,
Newtons still good. I can trace the beginning of the pain back to the Allen Stone Memorial 5k on the boardwalk where we encountered 3 x 180 degree turns on the unforgiving concrete. The following pic shows some of the stress my left side was under during the race:
Imagine running towards the orange cones at 5:20 per mile pace and then having to turn on a dime and accelerate to the same pace within a few seconds. Multiply this by three, add in a poor shoe selection for the race (light as a feather Brooks T5) and what you get is a stress fracture waiting to happen.
Three 5k’s in a 12 hour span just one week later was a mistake, especially as I experienced several “painful” training runs during the week following the boardwalk 5k. With my experience I should have paid more attention to the warning signals and backed off for a few weeks. Lesson learned. Stress fracture 100% my fault.

Heh, too funny.
I agree on the whole positive outlook thing – be smart, be educated, but definitely don’t let people tell you it’s worse than it is.
Speaking of which, I need to go meet with my doctor again to have the foot looked at now that it’s had the better part of a week to heal…
