Elizabeth River Run 10k

Not my most even-paced race, but a solid effort all the same. Plan going into the 10k was to average 6:00 minute miles if at all possible. I started off a bit quick, but was able to hold on for a 37:24 finish time on the slightly “long” course and just about meet my pre-race prediction.

Splits:
5:53 5:55 5:55 5:57 6:04 6:11

Great to see so many running friends at the race and especially to run with Billy Chorey for the first couple of miles. Also, well done to wife Ally for a very solid performance (looking good for the upcoming marathon training) and to daughter Shannon for placing first in the 20-24 age group! Good times…
