Too hot (over 90°F) to do any more than 2 x 800m and 2 x 400m repeats. One positive from the workout was my 800m times were slightly faster than last weeks repeats and my new Brooks ST3 racing flats felt great.
800m - 2:48800m - 2:46400m - 1:24400m - 1:22
Tonight was also the start of Week 4 of the push up plan. For some reason, todays 5 series wasn’t as difficult as previous weeks, so either I’m getting stronger or the plan just got easier. I’d like to think it was the former….
No plans to do any other speed or tempo work this week. I hope to race a 10k next Sunday in Wales and would like to be as fresh as possible for the event. It will be nice just to log a few miles before the trip at the end of the week with no real stress or pressure.

We leave on Friday and arrive Saturday lunchtime. I’ve entered a 10k on Sunday (http://www.10k.org.uk/) so we’ll see how that goes.
Rode my bike for a change tonight, ramping up for the start of my marathon training plan which includes at least 2 cross training days per week.
