Gentle Tuesday Treadmill Run

I usually experience more soreness two days after a tough workout/long run than I do the immediate day after, and today, 48 hours after the Shamrock Marathon, was no exception. Mind you, I’ve got to be honest, the soreness I’m experiencing today is very, very mild and not bad enough from stopping my daily run. I can remember several marathons where I’ve suffered for several days and it’s so nice to be able to walk around normally at the moment!

Remember this classic video? I can’t help but smile every time I watch it…

Anyway, tonight’s run - just an easy four miles on the treadmill at a comfortable pace and a moderate 2% incline. My legs soon loosened up after 5 or 6 miles and I’m glad I actually made the effort and ran. Not much else to report at the moment, although I’ve been starving for the last two days and am finding myself craving all kinds of foods. Hopefully the feeling will pass soon or I’ll be gaining back all the pounds I lost in the marathon build up!
