End Of Week Update

Nothing too special to report, but here’s a brief update as we head into the weekend.

First things first, I decided to get the push ups out of the way. I knew the workout was going to be tough and would need to be fresh to give it a good shot.

The double sets of 20, 23, 20 and 18 were quite manageable. Well maybe the 23′s were tougher than they should have been, but I made it through anyway.

I feared the final 53 would be hard and I wasn’t wrong. Somehow I managed to get through them, but by the end my arms were shaking and heart rate elevated. Oh well, job done for another couple of days.

Required: 20 20 23 23 20 20 18 18 at least 53

Actual: 20 20 23 23 20 20 18 18 53 [just]

I followed up the push ups with a 39 minute run – an easy mile to warm up with several two minute fartlek efforts thrown in for good measure. The run felt good and I’m already itching for my next race – probably the Hair of the Dog 5k on January 1st.

Finally I performed Day 5 of the 30 Day Shred. The workout is definitely getting easier and my legs are noticeably less sore! Now I’m used to the exercises I also used slightly heavier dumbbells today. Good workout and just 25 days remaining!

Enjoy the weekend everyone….
