10k Strength Builder – One More Time

Tonight I started off at a slightly lower 10k pace, but for each of the 6 minute intervals, turned it up a notch or two. Coupled with the constantly changing incline, it turned into a very tough but rewarding workout – I was certainly fired up by the end and ready to take on the world.

I’m glad I took the day off yesterday. I think my body needed it after a 65 mile week, tough 5k and swift 20 miler. Now, however, I feel like I’m playing catch up with the numbers and am conscious of the fact there’s only 5 days left this week and I need 58 more miles to match last week’s total – that’s almost an average 12 miles a day which I can’t see happening to be honest! Unless of course I run another 20 on Sunday, which leaves 38 to run in 4 days which equates to 9.5 miles per day. Possibilities…..
