Just ran a couple of very easy miles this morning to keep the legs ticking over. No fitness gains can be made at this late stage in the marathon preparation game, but mentally I’d rather be doing something - even if it is only a couple of easy miles.
The weather was very nice at 6:30am, although it felt a bit strange to be running in the dark again - mid 50’s with a 11mph SSW wind. Will the winds every go away?
Speaking of wind, I just checked the weather forecast (again) for Sunday morning, and it looks like it could be a fun day - a high of 53°F (nice), with morning showers (fine by me) and 27mph NW winds (gotta love those north west winds!)
I was just going to say that the forecast will no doubt change before Sunday anyway, and when I refreshed the page, it now says 31mph NW winds!!
Always one to look on the bright side - the 30mph tail wind will feel great in the final 4 miles. Maybe it will push a few of us to a new PR?
