Just ran an “easy” four miles this afternoon. My legs felt fine all day long despite yesterday’s tough marathon and I think several things helped the quick recovery:
- Hammer Nutrition Recoverite consumed within 20 minutes of finishing the race
- A consistent course of Tissue Rejuvenator capsules over the past couple of months
- A 15 minute shock-to-the-system ice bath followed by a warm shower and a 90 minute nap
Now, with marathon #21 in the bag, I’m already thinking of the future and “what’s next”. Decisions, decisions. I don’t want to rush into anything, but I’m tempted to sign up for the Frederick Marathon in May before all the slots are taken. 2008 sees a new start, an exciting new course and a brand new finish. Sounds like a race not to be missed!
The MotionBased web site seems to be down at the moment, so I’m having problems creating an activity viewport. However, here’s a link to the four mile run for when the web site is back up and running. Can’t believe I felt so good today to be honest. Maybe I’ll regret the final sub 7 minute mile in the morning….
