2010 Boston Marathon Slow Motion Video

How about this? The following slow motion video was taken at Mile 17 of Monday’s Boston Marathon by two of RunBlogger‘s students. Pretty cool huh?

As a comparison, here’s Ryan Hall showing me how it should be done. Totally impressive!

Ryan’s hair waves a lot more than yours… :)

Very cool!

I think the difference in stride is a function
of speed. We know generally how fast Ryan was
travelling, but what about those in the top
video?

It must be the shoes!

Jeff — probably about 6:40 pace. Just a tad slower than Ryan!

Wow that is awesome! Must be a pretty serious camera. I’d love to see footage like that of myself. Did you learn anything from it?

It’s interesting that Ryan lands on such a flat foot compared to all of the (still great, by my standards) runners at your pace. Many of them strike with the heel.

First thing I notice too was the “flat” foot landing of Ryan as mentioned in an earlier post.
