Coconut Cacao Overnight Oats

Been on a bit of an overnight oats kick recently! If you haven't heard, overnight oats are convenient, healthy, super-easy to prepare and a delicious way to start your day. A quick Google or Pinterest search will reveal literally hundreds of different overnight oats recipes, but the following is my go-to at the moment.

  • 1 Mason jar Or similar container

  • 1/2 cup Whole Foods 365 Organic Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 5/8 cup So Delicious ® Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • 1 tsp Black Chia Seeds
  • 2 tsp Navitas Organic Cacao Sweet Nibs
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sliced Almonds
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Flakes
  • 1 Tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Grab yourself a mason jar or similar container, then add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and 5/8 cup of unsweetened coconut milk. Next add the chia seeds, almonds, coconut flakes and cacao nibs. Screw on the lid, then pop the jar/container in the fridge where it will stay overnight. Remove from the fridge the following morning, add sweetener if required (honey or maple syrup is awesome) and enjoy!

You could also try:

  • Fruit-based overnight oats – berries and/or bananas are awesome!
  • Overnight oats with almond butter or cashew butter are really filling and pack a good protein punch too.
  • Coconut milk is my personal favorite, but you can easily substitute with rice milk, hemp milk, almond milk or cow’s milk.
