4.5 Mile Dog Walk

Here’s something a little different - GPS stats of a Friday morning dog walk with my two Golden Retrievers, Floyd and Morgan. Temperature was a wonderful 60°F with a gentle cooling breeze out of the south west. We averaged 15 minute mile pace which considering some of the traffic light stops isn’t bad at all.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Do you ever run with the dogs?

Occasionally. Just a mile or two at most though. I once ran a Dog Jog 5k with “Floyd” - we came in second overall. Lots of fun, a bit of a chaotic race though!

Sounds like fun and chaotic all at the same time. Yikes.

Hi Steve,
What fun! Hahahaha, still thinking about pace, I see, even while walking your dogs. ;-)

Yeah, it was fun. Last week’s walk was a trip to the local kennel - made a nice change from driving the dogs there. Yesterday I drove to collect them, walked them home (10 minutes quicker than last week I might add!), then ran back to collect my car later in the day. Good exercise for all of us, and yes, I guess I’m always subconsciously thinking about pace. Can’t help myself…

:)
