Grassy Five Miler

This afternoon’s fiver miler was a great one, but it started off with a bit of a hiccup. As you can see by the Garmin track below, I didn’t get very far before heading back home. No, I wasn’t injured and no, it didn’t start storming; the problem was a rather playful pit bull puppy that I didn’t quite trust.

Rather than spend the miles with a pit bull at my heels, I decided to drive to the local soccer fields where I could run alone and in comfort on the grass. My splits were pretty even (7:43 7:44 7:35 7:33 7:24) and the time flew by – it was just one of those runs where everything felt great.

Good times….

I thought bulldogs were tougher than pit bulls ;)

not this bulldog :)

haha! I live on the edge of town and do most of my runs out on gravel roads where people just let their dogs run loose. Last night, I got chased by a collie, a shepherd and a poodle!
