Fitness Friday
Started off the day with Week 2 Day 2 of Hundred Push Ups:
Required: 14 16 12 12 at least 17
Actual: 14 16 12 12 20
Muscles were a bit sore on the first set, but the soreness soon went away as I progressed through the workout. Finished with a straight 20, but could have done a few more if required.
During lunch, I ran for about 43 minutes on the treadmill (5.75 miles) and watched the second half of the inspirational Spirit of the Marathon movie. Watching something running related always helps the time pass quickly…
To cap a rather busy Friday, I decided to perform another “A” workout from the StrEndurance DVD – a challenging assortment of push ups, squats, flicks, dumbell rows, crunches, back extensions, shoulder press, jumping jacks and more. All good fun and hopefully not too much stress before tomorrow’s Suffolk YMCA 5k…

Erm, 15 races so far. I’m [foolishly] trying to run at least 50 in 2009 – we’ll see if the legs hold out.
Glad you’re still on the mend. Are you doing Dismal Swamp or will you wait until ERR to make the comeback?
I’m enjoying a Pipeline Porter and watching some old South Park. Need to run 20 in the morning, so will have to limit the Pipelines…

No races for me until ERR.
I’m off to Portland/Seattle for two weeks for work and spring break. Hopefully I’ll get inspired if i visit Pre’s house in eugene.
Currently alternating run days with spin days and stretching like a man possessed. I’m more flexible now than I was as a teen. Not that that is any big accomplishment.
If you want to see a funny rerun watch the seinfeld when elaine hosts the world class runner for the NYC Marathon. I found it the other night and kept a copy on the DVR.

How many races have you done so far this year? There has been about 14 weekends?
I ran 6 today 7:05 pace. Still misfiring but on the mend. Time for a Magic Hat #9.
