Another Week Without A Post
Slacking again, I know, so here’s a quick recap of the past seven days:
9/22 – challenging indoor bike ride. Decided to do the Spinervals Time Trial Special, which is a pretty intense workout designed to increase your anaerobic threshold. From what I can remember, the workout went something like this:
Warm up
3 x 30 seconds
1 minute [...]
Longest Run Of The Comeback
Great afternoon for a run, so decided to set my Garmin Virtual Partner at 7:30 per mile and see how I fared trying to maintain a fairly ambitious pace.
As with all my post-stress fracture runs, I started out fairly conservatively. I did, however, manage to “catch” my Virtual Partner (Jonesy) just after the four mile [...]
Another Step In The Right Direction

Onwards and Upwards!
Who would have thought it? My fourth run of the week! Yet another run/walk combo (I hate that word — don’t know why I used it), but this time a little further. In the back of my mind I had a goal of run/walking 5.4 miles today to bring my total mileage for 2009 up [...]
The Comeback Continues
The comeback continues. Same workout as Tuesday but with an extra mile of running and an extra chunk of walking tagged on at the end. The weather was appalling on the drive home from work. In the pre-stress fracture days, the treadmill would have been a great option for a rainy/windy afternoon, but with strict [...]
