Run Bulldog Run Mobile Version

Thanks to the excellent WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, Run Bulldog Run is now available with a mobile-friendly theme.

The theme should display automatically on both basic mobile browsers as well as the advanced and/or touch-screen browsers, but feel free to use the “mobile version” link in the bottom right corner of each page if for some reason the redirect doesn’t work.

I recently posted about a great new web site; Hella Sound that promises “the best running music, synced to your pace and designed to burn calories.”

Well, rather kindly, the owner of the site, John, took time out of his busy schedule to interview me about my running, my taste in music and a few other things he found interesting.

The interview went live today and I must admit I’m really pleased how it turned out! John obviously takes great pride in his work and has put out a first class blog post all about “The Volkswagen Bulldog” (that’s me by the way!)

Now there’s no excuse not to stay current with the comments on Run Bulldog Run!

Earlier today I added the excellent Subscribe to Comments WordPress plugin which allows commenters here at RBR to check a box before submitting a comment to receive email notification of further comments.

I’m hoping the easy to install plugin will help foster a close knit community by encouraging commenters to come back and stay engaged in the dialog. The image to the left shows the
“Notify me…” checkbox which will be displayed right above the Submit button at the bottom of each post.

Everything appeared to work well when I carried out some basic testing this morning, but please let me know if you run into any difficulties using the new functionality.

I’m looking forward to reading and responding to your comments. Thanks for supporting Run Bulldog Run!

Just a quick note to let you know I’ve added a custom search feature to Run Bulldog Run which you can find to the immediate right of this post.

Just enter a single word, phrase or string of keywords to search the Bulldog archives.

One day I may get around to writing a how-to post on the subject, but for now, Happy Searching!

A Non-Running Award

Just found out I’ve been nominated for an “Awesome Guy Blogger” award by Corey of the See Corey Run blog.

Corey’s blog is a great read and a chronicle of her efforts to get back into shape and ultimately complete a marathon. Topics covered include running, weight-lifting, nutrition, healthy cooking and more. Well worth a visit in my opinion!
